Sleepers — logging off is a risk

1 min read 4 reads updated 10d ago

Your body does not leave with you

When you disconnect while alive, your entire inventory and clothing are moved onto a sleeper body at your exact logout spot. Your saved character is emptied, so there is only ever one copy of your loot — no duping, no safety net.

The body looks like you, lying down. While you are gone:

  • Anyone can loot it. Walk up, press F, and take your items. It is take-only (nobody can stuff it), and only one person can loot at a time.
  • Anyone can kill it. The body has only ~50 HP. Destroy it and all your loot dumps on the ground at once.

Logging back in

Reconnect and you get everything back and the body vanishes — but only if nobody touched it. Anything looted or dropped while you were away is simply gone.

If your body was killed while you were offline, you wake up at map spawn with nothing, a death screen names your killer, and you (plus linked teammates) get a Discord DM: "Your sleeper was killed."

Bodies last forever while you are offline and survive server restarts. There is no command — it is automatic. The lesson: never log off in the open. Log off inside a locked, hidden base.
